User Research
The research aimed to gather crucial insights about people who have pets or are interested in pets. I carried out primary research on 10 potential users to understand their pain points.
These are some of the questions asked during the research:
what kind of work do you do?
How much free time do you have?
How long have you had a pet?
How often do you play with your pet?
Would you happen to have an emergency Vet contact?
How often do you visit a veterinary clinic?
How far is the clinic from your residence?
Where do you buy your pet supplies from?
Are you comfortable buying your pet supplies online?
Key insights derived from interviews
Clinics are available, but only in cities.
Clinic visitations are often rescheduled or shunned due to time constraints.
Veterinarians are not readily available during emergencies.
Due to busy schedules, it can be difficult to keep up with drug follow-up, feeding at a certain time, and vaccinations.
It can be time-consuming to visit a pet store.
Pet supplies online can be expensive.
Personas
With the data collected, I created Personas representing an ideal user of the application. The persona gave me an in depth understanding of the user goals and frustrations and the overall personality.
